First sketches for marketing materials

People will not believe how much more goes into a product than the actual product itself. Designing marketing materials is just one of the many hats I wear as an entrepreneur.
Lucky for me, my talented friend (and name twin) Anke Fachmann, has the expertise and time to lend a hand with this task. We are having a lot of fun bouncing ideas and sketches back and forth and watching the brand evolve.

I thought it would be fun to share some preliminary sketches we are working on, showing off the versatility of SKIRTZ.

There are so many ways to get mileage out of SKIRTZ. Wear them while riding a bike, as a top on your yoga pants, as a cover-up when going to the beach or as a fun maternity (or post pregnancy) top. Did we miss something?

My favorite is the lady on the beach with a cocktail in her hand :-) Thank you, Anke!!
Is it Happy Hour yet?!

Working on smaller sized pattern

The question of the day should be:

Is shorter really better?

This question being geared at all the pixie sized folks out there.

Now that I have established a great pattern for all the 'regular' sized people, I am working on a 'pixie sized' version. As I never in my life been a member of the 'XS-S club', I really find it hard to make a decision here. Spontaneously I would think that 'those' would want to show of their cute skinny legs and so I am leaning towards shortening the pattern by quite a bit. Also taking into consideration comments from small waisted women saying they might want to use the skirt while riding a bicycle or exercising otherwise.

So now I am asking advise from all my mini peeps to give me some feedback.

Here you see my first prototype sized XS-M. I think the length works, especially considering that you can adjust the length a bit by pulling the skirt higher or lower on the waist.

Short enough? Shorter? Longer?

Flavor of the Day

Freshly baked:
Op Art meets Bohemia!

I'm having so much fun with this!
Making up new combinations every day, it's like being a Baskin Robbins for skirts!

Fairfax Festival

It was a beautiful festival! My booth was close to the live music and the crowd was so much fun! My über-comfy collage skirts were a hit! After the first day I had sew all night to replenish the booth. The booth was cleaned out by Sunday evening. Wow!
Thank you Fairfax! I will be back. :-)

If you are into color, this is for you!

If you are into comfy, this is for you!

If you like 'fun', then shoobeedoo!
